Description
Full Spectrum: Oilfield Services
Every service an operator buys over a well’s life, and who sells it.
An institutional volume on the seller’s side of the oil and gas business, worldwide. It follows a well from the first survey to the last plug and names everything the operator pays someone else to do along the way. It opens with the industry, then works through the services and the customers who buy them, how the work actually gets done, the technologies and equipment, and the materials and critical inputs. Land drilling, offshore drilling, well construction, completions and pressure pumping, reservoir evaluation, production services, subsea and offshore construction, and digital each get their own chapter, as do the four largest service companies and the integrated contract, the national oil companies that buy most of the work, and the cycle. Then manufacturing and capacity, the supply chain and value chain, the companies, geography and trade, operations and the aftermarket, regulation, demand and market size, costs and pricing, innovation, and the forecast. Every chapter opens on a drawn process flow, and the shaded maps run from the world down to the Permian by county.
The volume argues from five conclusions. The industry works to stand still on a smaller pool than it once had. Price came back while volume and labor did not, because supply was destroyed. Fewer rigs do more work, and completion is where the money is spent. Two industries share one name, and the international one now sets the pace. And value has moved to technology, production and power. Every company in an exhibit carries its own logo, and every page carries its source and how firmly the evidence holds.
The reference workbook.
Built to be used rather than read. The scope, taxonomy and definitions the volume relies on, every assumption flagged with its basis, the source register page by page, a method tab that explains how each figure was built, a photographs register, and working calculators. Every source in it is free and public.
The forecast model.
World oilfield service revenue through 2035 in constant dollars, built service line by service line from activity and price, with upstream capital carried from Full Spectrum: Upstream Oil and Gas. Conservative, Base and Upside are computed side by side rather than toggled, and a sensitivity tab shows which input moves the answer most. The formulas are live: every driver is an input you can change, and the model recomputes.
You receive: the volume as a PDF and as a PowerPoint, the reference workbook, the forecast model, and a slide by slide guide to the volume.
